So much to think about but I think I personally have a clearer view of the path ahead!<br /><br />We have been working with Fujitsu Siemens EDAs in preparation for school trials in the new year - taking away the following:<br /><br /><ol><li>That the machines do have faults but they are fit for purpose</li><li>There are other people doing the same thing and they are willing to help and advise</li><li>There are a few "killer" apps that we MUST have! - SynchronEyes especially, Wildkey (we already have), (Sums Online looks good)</li><li>RedHalo offers a lot - and there's more to come - but at a price!</li></ol><p>So to the future...</p><p>I'm SURE that the future belongs to the Smart Phone for anytime, anywhere learning. The data connection and wireless plus a usable keyboard and touch screen all on a pocketable format - winning formula - the other bonus it is something parents <em>might</em> consider investing in if they are going to buy phones any way!</p><p>Look out for:</p><ul><li>Toshiba's new smart phone (due for launch soon)</li><li>The Vodafone smartphone &amp; data bundle offering from Steljes</li><li>The T-Mobile Ameo (not so portable but VERY feature rich (and expensive!))</li></ul><p>Can't wait to see what the next 12 months has to offer - I can only hope I have the opportunity to be present at Handheld Learning 2008!</p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5319734062906494661-780937509231451398?l=handheldlearning-speller.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Spellerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14859632135519452402noreply@blogger.com0
